My Journey to Santiago de Compostela Part VI

Although the same distance than the previous day, there was no high climbing which made the ride much shorter.  Crossing the towns of Mañeru, Cirauqui, Lorca and Villatuerta was like a visit back to the Middle Ages.  We went through farms planted with thousands of olive trees and were passed by teams of cyclists making their way to Santiago in colorful gear.

Estella/Lizarra is one of the most prolific treasures of Navarra with many Roman style churches and monasteries.  We got there early so we could spend time looking around after taking a well-deserved shower.
