My Journey to Santiago de Compostela Part XII

We left Santo Domingo for Belorado however we could not find any room in that town of 1.662 inhabitants so we reserved in Tosantos a small town about 5 kms after Belorado.  The albergue was privately ran by Jessica and her husband Carlos.  On our way to Tosantos, lots of sunflower fields waiting to be harvested.  We did not have to climb much from Santo Domingo to get there.  But it meant walking about 7 kms more than the previous day.  During that day's walk, we officially entered the Province of Burgos in the Region of Castilla y Leon.

Upon arrival, I met new friends from California, Art LeClaire, his wife Kim and their friend Peter.  We would share many nice stories together on the following days.  At the albergue, Peter got some nice tomatoes from a farm nearby and Jessica (the hostess) prepared some toasts with olive oil and tomatoes for us.  We had a great dinner together at the albergue, all prepared by Jessica.
