My Journey to Santiago de Compostela Part XXX

Today is the last day in September and we are just two days away from Santiago de Compostela.  If I had not taken three days off (Pamplona, Logroño and Leon), I would be in Santiago.  But I am happy I took the time off.

We left Portomarin a little after 8:30 am on a cool and cloudy day, but no rain.   The day was perfect and the Camino beautiful.  It was a mix of major roads and trails with not much climbing up or down.  Vineyards were replaced by corn fields; we also went through lots of grasslands where cows were grazing or quietly chewing.
